Talk about growing up too fast.
Sorry I haven't updated in so long! We didn't have internet for a little while so I really haven't had a whole lot of time to update. But anyway, Atticus will be 8 months old in a couple of days. He's not crawling yet but he's super close. He just kind of wobbles back and forth on his hands and knees. He has the momentum to move, he just doesn't! Ha ha! I don't think Alex has talked to anyone in a while but he starts school to become a Medical Assistant in April! We're really excited for him. :) I'm still just working at old blue, waiting for Alex to finish up school so I can start. I'm kind of thinking veterinary technician.. We'll see. Anyway, here is a very recent picture of Atticus!

Chunky Monkey!
Wow! Atticus had his 4 month check up the middle of this month and he weighed 18 and a half pounds. I can't believe how big he is! He is now grabbing things like Alex's glasses off of his face and putting them in his mouth. The other day he rolled from his tummy to his back! I was so excited that I yelled and scared him and when I told Alex I was expecting Atticues to not do it again. But he did it right off the bat so Alex got to see!! I still can't believe he's already 4 and a half months old... It's gone by way too fast and I don't want him to get any bigger. He also responds really well to his name now. Here are some recent pictures of him and some from today at my mom's work!

So many smiles!
So Atticus is 14 weeks old, and every single day we see more of his personality come through. At the beginning of this month the 7th I think it was, Atticus had his baby blessing at my mom's church and my Grandpa said that he smiled at them the whole time! We left the next morning to drive my sister back to California, so it was Atticus's first road trip and he did soo good! He practically slept the whole time. Then he even slept that night at the hotel. Atticus is being almost fully formula fed the only time I breast feed him is at night time and for some reason even with going over 12 hours between nursings, I won't dry up.. Which is fine as much breast milk I can give him is awesome. But it's hard to believe with as hard a time I had with breast feeding that I'm still lactating. Oh! I forgot to mention that Atticus slept in his crib last night for 7 hours!!! It was so exciting!! :) Anyway Alex and I are getting married on Nov 21st in Vegas and we decided to go with the bigger wedding package, so that's 30 people or less which means all immediate family and the close friends that we invited will all fit!! Here are some pictures of Atticus on his baby blessing day and a video of him smiling as well.

It's peaking
So Atticus has been crying a lot lately and I can't figure out why but I'm pretty sure it's not the lactose intolerance anymore. So we're both drinking milk again. I think I'm about done breast feeding. He's not latching on very well anymore and it's just too tiring, I'm pretty sure I'm going crazy with this whole feeding routine anyway. And I would rather just feed him a bottle of formula then go through all this nonsense. It takes to long to get ready to leave anywhere and I'm exhausted. WIC tried to give me this supplementing tube thing that goes in his mouth while I'm breast feeding him so he gets formula the same time as I'm feeding him but it still doesn't matter he won't stay latched on even if there's a surplus of food going into his mouth. *sigh* I tried really hard to make it work. Oh well. Atticus likes the bottle more than my booby, ha ha.. It's alright. I'll get over it. Anyway pretty sure he's over 13 pounds now. Here's some picture of him almost 10 weeks old!

2 Months!
Atticus had his 2 month check up today and he's 12 pounds 14 ounces!! That's almost 13 pounds! He's getting so big. He also had his immunizations and he cried actual real tears! It was so sad. That was the first time I saw him with tears in his eyes. :) He smiles now and makes all sorts of funny noises!! And when I sing to him he tries to sing back. Well sort of.. He just makes lots of cooing noises. He is amazing and I love him so much. I can't wait until he starts to sit up on his own. We're supplementing him because the lactation clinic finally confirmed that I have a low breast milk supply about 2 weeks ago and they told me it was probably genetic. I'm so glad that someone actually told me it was okay to supplement him with formula. And it was nice to know that I had done everything I could to get my supply up and that it wasn't my fault that it never got up there. So feeding is kind of a process I'm not gonna lie. I breast feed him on both sides twice to make sure he's getting all he can and then I make him a bottle of formula and feed him as much as he'll take of that. And after he's all nice and full I have to pump to make sure that I'm still getting the same amount of stimulation as I would've gotten had I not formula fed him. Oh I forgot to mention Atticus is a little lactose intolerant so I'm eating and drinking soy products and he's taking soy formula to see if that helps his tummy. It's been kind of rough, especially the breast feeding and I wanted so badly to only breast feed. But what can ya do. Just so long as Atticus is happy I'm happy. Alex is doing so good with him when I'm gone at work at he's such a good Daddy. It's nice to get away to work but at the sane time I can't wait to come home to see both of them and give Atticus loves.
I love my little family!
